Windows 10 Review
“I finally got
the Windows 10 Technical Preview which is still under development. Thanks to a
friend. Let’s get to the topic of discussion. Windows 10 is based on its
ancestor so it has almost similar interface as that of Windows 8. But Microsoft
has changed a lot of things that will definitely please the users”
Return of the Start Menu
After a huge demand, the company has finally decided to
add a fully-functional Windows 7 style Start Menu. Windows 10 comes with both
Start Menu and Start Screen. The Start Menu contains All Programs entries
similar to Windows 7 along with the live tiles.
Modern Apps Run in Windowed Mode in Desktop
In Windows 10, metro apps run in windowed mode on
Desktop similar to other software such as Microsoft Office, etc. Apart from
this, all the metro apps contains a new App Button.
Multiple Desktop Feature
Its one of the most useful and interesting features
introduced in Windows 10 which allows users to have more than one Desktop at a
time. Linux users are already using this feature since long time. This feature
can be used by pressing a new shortcut Windows
key+Tab. You can also create a new Desktop by clicking on a new Taskview button on the Task Bar.
New Command Prompt
The Command Prompt Console window has been improved a
lot. Microsoft has added some most awaited features such as text wrapping on
resize, CTRL Hotkeys, etc to Windows 10 Command Prompt.
“The other feature that mark their importance are Data Sense, Battery
Saver, zPC Settings and many more. But there is still a lot to be unfolded as
it is under development. Let’s hope for the best. As far as it is the matter of
a user-friendly and easy to handle windows, Windows 10 is definitely better
than Windows 8.
